Chinese automaker Geely Auto has been independently developing an all-new automobile platform dubbed BMA (B-segment modular architecture) after the company and Volvo Cars jointly develop the CMA (compact modular architecture) platform.

According to the patent image exposed before, the BMA platform's first SUV model likely be named Xingyue (in Chinese). The fuel-driven version may provide two power variants, a 1.0T direct injection engine and a 1.5T direct injection engine, which can output maximum power of 136hp and 177hp respectively. The plug-in EV version is outfitted with a hybrid powertrain system, comprising a 1.5T in-line three-cylinder engine, a motor and ternary-lithium battery pack. Under the electric-driven mode, its driving mileage could be up to 62km.
