Geely Binyue 1.0T version spied on road, to go on sale in 2019
The test mule of the Geely Binyue 1.0T version was spied on the road in recent days. The new version is expected to hit the market in 2019.
According to the spy shots, the Geely Binyue 1.0T version looks rather similar to the 1.5T version unveiled at the end of August. It retains Geely’s iconic ripple-shaped intake grille which creates a sense of sport. The rear end detail is still a secret due to the heavy camouflage. It is predicted that its rear end will share the same design as the 1.5T version.
As to the interior, the 1.0T version features a layout generally in line with that of the 1.5T version. Some nuances still exist inside of the car. Unlike the 1.5T version, the 1.0T version adopts an independent floating screen, a mechanical instrumental panel and a mechanical gear lever. Meanwhile, the seat cover is made up of textile fabric other than leather.
The new version will be powered by a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged engine, the same as the Geely Binrui. Possibly paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission, the engine is able to generate a maximum power of 100 kW and peak torque of 205 N·m.
