Haval F5 to go on sale in September with two engine variants
The Haval F5, the first model of the “F” Series under Great Wall Motor's Haval brand, will go on sale in September this year, according to local media. Positioned as an entry-level compact SUV model, the Haval F5 has two engine variants.
The new SUV model adopts an all-new design in its appearance. At the front face, a massive dot-matrix intake grille matches with slim headlights and well-designed fog lights. Besides, the curvaceous rear design creates rather sporty visual effect.   
The Haval F5 features traditional split-type taillights at the rear end, which looks quite neat. The new model measures 4,470mm in length, 1,857mm in width and 1,638mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,680mm.
Inside, the Haval F5 boasts a concise layout by carrying a sporty flat bottomed steering wheel, a full liquid crystal display as well as a large-sized screen in the center console under which only physical keys of the air conditioner exist.
As to the powertrain, the new SUV model will be given two engine variants. To be specific, the 1.5L turbocharged engine mated with a manual transmission is able to deliver a maximum power output of 169hp and the 2.0L turbocharged engine, which can output a maximum power of 197hp, is fitted with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
