US new car sales in April 1.426 million down 4.7%
Recently released in April the United States new car sales 1,426,126, down 4.7%. Of which 557,312 passenger car sales, down 11.1%; light truck sales 868,814, down 0.1%.
January-April 2017 US new car cumulative sales of 5,458,914, down 2.4%. The cumulative sales of passenger cars 2,098,950, down 11.4%; light trucks grew 4.3% to 3,359,964 units.
This month, sales of the top ten car sales are mostly down.
Volkswagen April sales fell 7.1% to 213,436 units, accounting for 15.0% of the market share; FCA US (Chrysler) fell by 5.4% year on year, accounting for 17.1% 6.8% to 176,176 vehicles, accounting for 12.4% of the market share.
Japanese cars, Toyota fell 4.4%, Honda fell 7.0%, Nissan fell 1.5%, Subaru grew 3.9%, Mazda fell 7.8%, Mitsubishi fell 13.4%.
Korean cars, Hyundai Motor increased by 1.3%, Kia decreased by 5.6%.
Advanced car side, Mercedes-Benz fell 7.9 percent to 26,932 units in the first high-class cars, ranked tenth in the total list.
