Volkswagen Europe 900 million cheat diesel vehicle repair program approved
The Volkswagen Group announced today that it has received approval from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority to rehabilitate all diesel vehicles in the country that carry the EA189 four-cylinder engine in the United States, the US media said on Dec. 21. Volkswagen has been approved for the installation of a 2.0-liter diesel engine, such as Passat, CC to recall the repair.
Volkswagen will carry out a software upgrade for all vehicles. The 1.6-liter engine also requires a "Flow Transformer" in front of the air volume sensor of the air intake system, but allows the engine computer to calculate the intake air more precisely. The repair process can take up to 1 hour. Volkswagen said it would notify the relevant vehicle owners to make an appointment to repair the vehicle
The engine repair program is limited to the European market, Volkswagen in the United States and Canada, the issue of diesel vehicle repair program to be further approval.
